England > Hampshire, Dorset & Wiltshire

Three Of The Best

The three neighbouring counties of Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire share a landscape of gently rolling chalk hills yet each one has its own distinctive personality.

Hampshire boasts a rich and ancient heritage - New Forest was first established by William the Conqueror and nearby Christchurch boasts a 900 year old chapel. The area's historical importance is underlined by the fact that Winchester was once the capital of England.

Wiltshire is justly famous for it's ancient monuments at Stonehenge and Amesbury as well as the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral whose 400 foot tower is the landmark visible for many miles around.

Dorset's coast has recently been recognised as England's first natural World Heritage Site - explore some of its many secluded beaches and coves and you'll soon see why.
